“Be good and get good stuff. I’m sure many have said it more eloquently than that, but that is how we feel right now in this moment.” Chris was compelled to say a little something after him and Jessie cut their cake. They were overwhelmed with love from friends and family and couldn’t find any words to express their gratitude. But he was so right, and how simply put. I mean, everyone knew what he was saying. It wasn’t necessarily that you do good things and get lots of cool materialistic stuff. What he was saying was that life is hard, it has it’s up and it has it’s downs. It can take a turn for the worst, but if we persevere with hope and continue on toward the finish line, we may not win, but we will finish. And the good stuff is merely love. Really what he was saying was, “Love. And Be Loved.” And everyone nodded in agreement.
The day started nothing short of extraordinary. Every loved one had a part to play and they played it well. There was very little stress, an overwhelmingly calm breeze blew through the Woman’s Club of Orange as everyone setup. It all came together in no time and before we knew it, Chris was waiting for his bride to come down the aisle. And it was a magical moment. As they stood gazing into each others eyes, they got lost, like the good ole Debbie Gibson song. And before they knew it… because they clearly came out of their fantasy fog of smitten-ness when their friend and officiant, Aaron, said, “This is it guys! I now pronounce you husband and wife!!”
Jessie & Chris, you drew us all into your fantasy fog of smitten-ness! Not only were Jay and I so blessed to be a part of your wedding, we felt like a part of your family being there. Right now you should have the sand between your toes and relaxing on your honeymoon, take it all in! We love you too and are excited for what the future has in store for your little family :)
A BIG thanks to Natalie Vishny of Swellegent Events for her BIG heart and her amazing skills. She was cool as a cucumber and steered the ship right where it needed to go. The Event Company did a sweet job of transforming a normally plain room into a work of art! The party lead by Extreme DJ Steve Sievers was rockin! And some amazing food by Richard Jones BBQ Catering.
